Create a strategy webhook

A strategy webhook is a private URL TradePod gives you. TradingView (or Postman / a bot) sends JSON or plain text to that URL; TradePod turns it into orders on your Dhan account.

Before you start​

  1. Connect Dhan
  2. Open TradePod on your public host (example: https://yourname.tradepod.in) — not only localhost. TradingView must reach the URL from the internet.
  3. Settings → Integrations → turn TradingView on

If TradingView is off, create and webhook calls return 403.

Steps in the app​

  1. Open TradePod → Strategy.
  2. Click Add TradingView.
  3. Enter a clear strategy name (shown in activity and logs).
  4. Choose type:
    • Equity — stocks; default size from Capital (₹) in Settings
    • F&O — single-leg futures or options; default size from Lots
  5. Set capital (and lots for F&O).
  6. Turn Auto-execute trades on if you want signals to place orders automatically. Leave it off to receive signals only (no broker orders).
  7. Click Create.
note

TradingView alerts place one leg per webhook. Multi-leg / “F&O lot scale” is for TradeFlow spreads — not this create flow.

After create — copy URLs​

The success screen (and later Config) shows:

Also copy Entry and Exit messages from Config. Paste them into two TradingView alerts. Do not put the secret in the Message — it is already on the URL.

If the URL still shows localhost, open TradePod on your public host before pasting into TradingView.

Settings that affect webhooks​

Open the strategy → Settings (and Advanced):
