Step 3 — Switch to API Key mode

On the Dhan Trading & Investing APIs page, look at the top right.

You will see a switch between:

  • Access Token — expires in 24 hours
  • API Key — lasts 12 months (recommended)

Turn the switch to API Key.

Important: For daily trading, always use API Key. Access Token expires every day.
